London Borough of Croydon Childminders registered on the Early Years or Childcare registers can access different levels of support from the Team Around the Setting (TAS). Below is a list of the support packages for new childminders and those due inspections. There is also information on training and the Childminder Quality Network. Pre-registration Support PackageThis has now been changed in line with the requirements under the Revised EYFS. Inspection Support ProgrammeThis is available to all childminders due an OFSTED inspection within the next 6 to 12 months. This support can be tailored to include:
Support Plus ProgrammeThis is available to all childminders who have received or are likely to receive an inadequate grading from OFSTED. This support can be tailored to include:
SENCO SupportA service is available from the Setting Support Team for children under the age of 5 with special educational needs. They can provide advice and hands on modelling of good practice and strategies. Support is also available for devising and implementing Individual Education Plans and where appropriate they can support you to complete a request for Statutory Assessment in line with SEN code of practice. To make a referral for a child in your care please contact: Children Come First Quality Assured NetworkThe Croydon Childminding Network is available for childminders to join who want to help provide quality assured childcare for children under 8. This includes supporting children with additional needs and is linked in to Children’s Centres and Extended Schools. There are 10 Quality Standards set by the NCMA which will help to raise the standard of childminding. You will be eligible to take sponsored places via Daycare Panel. Network members are also eligible to draw down funding for free nursery places for 3-4 year olds. The AGM is an important part of the year and attending it will help you see how other childminders work and give you an opportunity to meet the CCMA Committee Members. | ||||
